Job Description

To provide a superior level of customer service to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests as they attend various events, including collegiate sporting events, concerts, festivals, and fairs. The position offers flexible, part-time hours that allow for the accommodation of each staff member’s personal schedule.

Please note this is non-DCJS licensed position. As a non-security staff, you will not be qualified to work specific event posts excluding but not limited to walk-through metal detectors and bag-searching. You will be eligible to work any events offered to non-security staff during our busy season included but not limited to – Football games, Graduations, NASCAR, & State Fair of Virginia.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service mindset and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • 17 years or older

  • Complete a 4-hour RMC Events Orientation

Essential Position Functions and Key Duties

  • All Peak Season Staff will be cross-trained in multiple positions, including: Ticket-Taker/Scanner, Usher, and Parking Attendant (post assignments will vary for each event).

  • Creating an enjoyable and safe experience for guests at any given event by providing a high-level of customer service.

  • Observing your surroundings, detecting any suspicious or hazardous situations, and reporting your findings to event supervisors, managers, and emergency personnel.

  • Work flexible hours which include nights and weekends.

Work Conditions

  • The work environment varies event to event depending on the venue.

  • Events are held both indoor and outdoor in various weather conditions.

  • While performing duties, staff member’s core function may involve standing for prolonged periods of time. Seated positions are very limited.
